Cinema Always Productions, Inc.

Sempre Cinema Producións SL, a partnership between the Galician goverment and the private financial institution CaixaGalicia, has been presented yesterday in Santiago de Compostela. CaixaGalicia already participates through Corporación CaixaGalicia in other audiovisual companies as Filmax Entertainment (97.07%), Grupo Continental (88.23%) or Veralia Corporación (88.23%).

With an initial capital of € 3M, the new production company will participate as co-producer in feature film projects with a clear commercial vocation.

The new company aims to contribute to the consolidation and promotion of projects participated by other Galician producers. Fernando Salgado, President of the Galician Audiovisual Consortium, described SempreCinema Produccións as a "new instrument", "innovative", "flexible" and "ambitious".

The new company is born as one of the most important investors in the Spanish audiovisual sector. From the financial point of view, the new venture will participate in film projects with a budget equal to or greater than € 2.2 M. Any production company may apply for the participation of Sempre Cinema, provided it is a Galician independent producer, or a company established in any EU member state having permanent offices in Galicia.

A committee of three members (XesGalicia public capital-risk fund, Caixa Galicia and Audiovisual Consortium) will evaluate the projects proposed and report the results to the board of the new society for the final decision.

Fancy a partnership? You need:

  • A permanent office in Galicia
  • To be involved in a commercially-oriented project with a budget of more than € 2.2 M, 70% of the cost of the zero copy already pre-funded, and at least € 100,000 cash.
  • To convince the analysis committee that the project will be good for Galicia and/or the Galician audiovisual sector.

If everything is OK, Sempre Cinema Producións will enter the project with a maximum of € 600,000, even more if the project is exceptionally interesting.
